Wheelchair (MAV)

Also known as Ambulette, Wheelchair Van or Mobility Assistance Vehicle (MAV) – A Wheelchair Van is a specially designed vehicle for the safe and effective transport for patients that are wheelchair bound or unable to ambulate safely on their own. Each van features specially designed and state approved systems for the securing either a company owned wheelchair or patient’s wheelchair.

All vehicles are equipped with seatbelts for the patients as well. Most vehicles can accommodate regular wheelchairs, high performance chairs and power chairs. Most vans feature raised roofs, one technician, 2-way communications, basic first aid supplies and extra seating for home health aides or family members. All service is door to door.
